How to configure multiple monitors on a computer?

It is becoming more common as want to work with multiple screens or monitors . Not only because many times the laptop screen does not allow us to work with the resolution we want, but because having one or more monitors allows better organization of information, in addition to working with several applications at a time.
Double monitor
You no longer have a lot of open windows or tabs . The main advantage is that you simply drag the window to the corresponding side so that it appears on the other monitor. A single glance will suffice to identify the information, so the work is usually done faster and more comfortable.
In this article I would like to explain in a few steps how you can configure your computer so that several monitors come out.

How to set up dual display

If we are going to use a desktop computer connected to two monitors, it will be important to have a video card with two DVI (or ports DVI and VGA ). Many computers include input ports for both types of connectors.
Otherwise, the process of getting it started is very simple following this tutorial step by step, although it may vary depending on the operating system you have installed and that is why I put the different options of Windows.
With Windows XP:
1. Connect the VGA or DVI cable to the corresponding port. Windows will take a while to recognize that there is a new device.
2. Right click on the desktop and click on "Properties".
3. Go to Settings. There you will see two monitors appear: 1 and 2 (although this one will appear a little shaded, which is the one you just connected).
4. Click on the monitor image 2. Then give "Extend my Windows desktop to this monitor". Also mark the resolution you want to put.
5. Give it to apply and your second monitor will be working.
With Windows Vista:
The form is very similiar, although the mode of access is something different (we already know how heavy Windows Vista is). Just right click on the desktop, give it to "customize", then "display properties" and you will get a screen similar to XP, with two monitors. Squeezes on the monitor 2 and check the option "extend my desktop ..."

With Windows 7:
1. Press right button and "screen resolution".
2. Same process as above: mark monitor 2 and "extend my desktop.
3. Windows 7 gives you some more options besides changing the screen resolution. For example, you can change the orientation of the monitor if you want to rotate it 90 or 180 degrees (usually not very useful, but for a designer maybe).
With Windows 8:
Pretty much lousy, unless you're already getting used to the interface.
1. Move the mouse to the top corner on the right. You will get a menu bar. Click on "Devices".
2. Then press the second screen.
3. Check the "extend" option.
4. The resolution can be changed by clicking on the right button and pressing on "screen resolution".
Now you can work with two screens and extend your folders and shortcuts in case you have small.
I hope this article has been helpful to you.
