Troubleshoot problems with my web browser

The web browsers like Firefox, Google Chrome or Internet Explorer can sometimes pose some difficulty. Sometimes we believe there is a problem with your computer, but simply that we have installed a plugin or extension rare without realizing it. The discomforts that can arise can be diverse, from we leave an unwanted page as a start page until we can see videos on Youtube.

What can we do when something abnormal happens in our browser? Do we have to be satisfied with pop-ups skipping every 5 minutes, or everything going slower than normal? The answer, logically, is no. And we explain why.

Having a functional web browser, the key to working

Those who need to use the Internet day after day to work, we know how important it is to have a web browser in conditions. Many people use Internet Explorer, which is the default with Windows, but it is best to switch to Firefox or Google Chrome, as we have said on occasion.
In order to work quietly, we should adhere to the following guidelines:
  • Let the home page be Google. Or my own website. Or what else I will use. When we sometimes download something, sometimes we point out inadvertently the option to put another start page. And this is uncomfortable, because every time we go back, we have to leave the main page.
  • Do not install unwanted bars. It happens sometimes without even realizing it, when installing a program to us. For example, the "Search" bar. Sometimes they have an aesthetic very similar to Google, but it is not Google. What is desirable is that the browser is as clean as possible and only consciously download what we are going to use.
  • Turn off pop-ups. In this there can be problems, because in addition to being uncomfortable, some pop-ups impersonate an antivirus or ask us for personal information, inducing us to fall into the trap. Firefox does not usually have much difficulty, but it always pays to check that it is on the pop -up blocker .

Solve problems with your browser

There are several ways to solve these kinds of problems. The fastest is usually to delete the browser and re-download the latest version, so it looks like new. But we can also enter the Tools> Options menu (I talk about Firefox) and check that it is the home we want, etc.
If you have installed something we do not want, such as a plugin or extension, we can go into Tools> Add-ons and see what's installed. If we see something we do not really interested in we click on the "disable" option .
It may also be advisable sometimes clear the cache and temporary files . For example, when we are working on a web, many times the browser takes time to show the changes. So, if you are using Firefox and you enter with Google Chrome, do not be surprised that when you enter the url you see the updated information.
What other problems have you encountered with your web browser? Leave us your doubt in the comments.
